Ashley Cole has allegedly hired an SAS guard to keep his female groupies away. Apparently he is said to be paying a minder £1,000 a day to protect him from ‘himself’.
A friend claimed: ‘One of the main reasons he has a new minder is because he knows he needs protection from predatory girls – and to be saved from himself.
‘He knows that if he’s let loose on fans on his own he might repeat his same old mistakes.’
This is probably one of the funniest stories I’ve read in a while! Surely Ashley can not be that undisciplined? If this story is true, and this is the length he has to resort to, then he seriously has a problem! Maybe he should check himself into SAA?

Apparently Ashley Cole shot and wounded a work-experience student with an air-rifle, according to reports in the News of the World.
The incident is alleged to have happened at Chelsea’s Cobham training-ground last Sunday.
Cole is said to have brought the .22 rifle, including muzzle and nightscope, to Cobham, something witnessed by a dozen members of staff.
Apparently unaware the rifle was loaded, he is reported to have aimed it at Tom Cowan, a 21-year-old sports science student from Loughborough University who was on a year’s work experience at the club.
“It’s truly inconceivable that a Premier League footballer could bring a gun to the training ground,” the newspaper quoted an unnamed source as saying.
“But Ashley pulled the rifle from a box and started larking about with it in the changing room, not realising it was loaded. It ended up pointed at Tom just five feet away.
“The gun went off with a loud pop and Tom screamed as this lead pellet hit him in the side. It went through his clothing and into his flesh.”
Cowan was treated by medics at the ground, but two days later the wound was still seeping.
Chelsea held a three-hour meeting with Cowan on Wednesday, and his father Ronald, a quantity surveyor, demanded further talks later in the week.
A .22 weapon is the largest that can be bought without a licence in Britain and shooting somebody with one could be deemed actual bodily harm under British law, bringing a maximum five-year prison term.
Cole is reported to have been given a severe dressing-down over the incident.

Alesha Dixon has revealed plans to release a Bollywood track on her forthcoming new album The Entertainer (by the sounds of things the title may need to be changed to The Annoying!).

Former Commonwealth Games athlete Matthew Thomas has been given a suspended sentence and ordered to pay nearly £12,000 for competing in races while claiming sick pay.
The 34-year-old had told his employers at Newham Council in east London that he’d been unable to attend his job as a payroll officer after falling off a ladder and injuring his back.
He was later filmed taking part in a series of national running events.
Thomas raced in the Birmingham Athletic Games and also took part in the Surrey County Indoor Championships.
The former St Lucia runner also led regular coaching sessions for Met-Track, an athletics scheme set up by the Metropolitan Police.
N-Dubz have signed a worldwide record deal, including the US, with their new label saying the band’s previous controversies are “part of the appeal”.
Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer have been snapped up by Def Jam, the record label started by Rick Rubin and run by Jay-Z up until recently.
Speaking to Newsbeat Max Gousse, vice president of A&R at the label, said he’d been working on a deal for a few months.
“We’re going to get them in (the studio) with Dr Luke and Jim Johnson and some of the other top producers in the US and work on a worldwide push.”
Gousse, who broke UK artist Taio Cruz in the States, confirmed that the next plan for the band was to bring them to Los Angeles to record new material.
He confirmed their first release would be “a combination of the previous records and new material that we’re recording”.
He also admitted that the band’s recent troubles, including Dappy’s admission that he took mephedrone, didn’t concern him.
“They can get in trouble – it’s ok, I don’t mind. It’s part of the appeal.
“I flew over a few months ago and checked out a show – the fact they’re really great entertainers really sold me.”

N-Dubz star Dappy has apparently become obsessed with the children’s television character Iggle Piggle.
The rapper’s former girlfriend Kaye Vassell described the rapper’s love of In The Night Garden, particularly Iggle Piggle, while speaking about the couple’s recent split in The Sun.
“He started watching the BBC kids’ show In The Night Gardenwhen [our son] Gino was born, and now he’s hooked,” said Vassell. “His particular love is Iggle Piggle.
“He loves Iggle Piggle so much he went out to buy every Iggle Piggle soft toy that’s available. He takes one of the toys on tour and he just says, ‘It’s Iggle, innit’.”
Dappy also recently cited Teletubby La La as a cartoon character he found attractive in an interview with Sony Ericsson Pocket TV, explaining: “She’s the yellow and female one – you’re not going to choose Dipsy or Po.”
This is just foolishness…..can’t the press make better stories about these dudes!…..what next? N-DUBZ and IGGLE PIGGLE record a song together? I just can’t take these dudes seriously!
