So the Fundmentals recently went their seperate ways, now the two main singers Jermaine Riley and Varren Wade launch their solo careers. Both releasing their videos within days of each other! Varren Wade releases a very cool rock/rnb/pop track ‘Rock and Roll’ which I must say is very catchy and it’s good to see him come out with his own unique style. Then Jermaine hits us with the suave pop track ‘There’s Only One Me’ which could go down well in the clubs! Both styles are completely different!

As you know I like to sh’t stir so I want to create a bit of competition between the two and find out  which track you all prefer?

IT’S OFFICIAL ‘FDM’ HAVE SPLIT!

in News by BROWN-EYEZ on August 21st, 2011

A trio comprised of Jermaine, Varren and Kyle, FDM, first known as Fundamental were the UK urban boy band with potential. Plagued with potential, it turned out. Three young, good looking guys who could dance, sing and really perform; they were the ones who could really break through, many thought, as news spread of the trio’s signing to Geffen and R&B star Ne-Yo’s label Compound Records. Unfortunately months — then a couple of years — of tumbleweed followed, it’s roll only slowed by a well-received independent mixtape released by the group last year, titled The Pudding.

Now Jermaine Riley emerges solo and on a mission to save. The music? The fans? Or perhaps anyone who’s ever needed to fight for a new beginning. Watch the emergence of a new hero in the making; performed to the sound of “Laugh At You,” produced by Dready, from his forthcoming debut solo album Hello Earth.

What a great shame that these guys have split!  I remember watching them perform years back, they had the voice, looks charisma and dance moves! Very talented guys!….Gosh and who is the UK left with?? J Bloody L S!!! KMT!….Anyway Jermaine is still doing his ting!

CHIPMUNK ROCKS THE CROWD AT PROUD2!

in News by BROWN-EYEZ on April 24th, 2011

The concert was pretty good! Chipmunk was on stage for about 45 mins and performed most of his songs from his new album Transitions, showing off his diamond chain and arm full of tattoos, with his full band who I must say was absolutely amazing! (I was kind of glad tat he didn’t perform any of his previous hits, since hearing his new music and just by looking at him you can clearly see that he has made a transition.  Musically he  has grown and is simply not the same guy he was a few years ago). He worked the crowd, danced away to a few tracks, brought along Skepta, Wretch 32 and Sneakbo to perform…..The show was great!

What was funny was when Chipmunk noticed a ‘hater’ in the audience and stopped the show!

I guess you know you have made it when you have haters!

The vibe in VIP was nice, good music and lots of champagne popping……

Read on to see more snaps of the show and party with Kojo, Wretch 32 and Paris Rocks (Skepta all over the house chick) plus more………

NEW MUSIC: Wiley Featuring Fundmental “Playground”!

in News by BROWN-EYEZ on December 8th, 2009

fundmental 03

Check out this track, Wiley featuring Fundmental Playground Remix! The Fundmental’s aren’t actually singing on this track, but Wiley sure does show why he is considered the King of Grime.

Apparently the Fundmentals are working with NE-YO and are set to make a  come back in 2010, and it’s about bl**dy time! These dudes were big back in the day, and were certainly one of the most highly underrated and most talented Male RnB group to come from the UK!

The Fundmental’s can definitely give a certain annoying boy band who keep hogging the charts, a run for their money!!!

The Black Tie Comedy Awards Goes To…….

in News by BROWN-EYEZ on December 1st, 2009

Black Tie Comedy Awards

The Black Tie Comedy Awards finally came around and I must say what a great night! The event was hosted by comedian  Kojo who did a great job,  as well as Rachel Ritfield  who looked stunning but shocked the crowd with one of her costume changes wearing a  black puff ball dress which looked like she was about to fly up in the sky at any time ( pictures coming soon).

In the house was Danielle Brown ( Mel B’s sister) rocking the same big hair pig tails she had years ago, Yasmine Dotiwala, Bashy (looking very suave)  , Miss London, Eddie Kadi, Fundmentals ( where have these dudes been hiding?) and Yolanda Brown.

There were performances by dance troupe Stateless, Young Nate , Funky House Queen Maleka whose voice  is just amazing, Kevin J  ( Best New Comer)  who apologised for being white and winning a black award…. he was jokes. Then the performance of the night as well as winning Best Male Comedian was Slim, this dude is just hilarious, definitely one of the best comedians on the circuit right now!

The Black Tie Comedy Awards  Winners are:

BEST NEWCOMER: KEVIN J

BEST TV PERFORMANCE: SLIM

BEST FEMALE COMEDIAN: GLENDA JAXSON

BEST MALE COMEDIAN: SLIM

BEST COMEDY PROMOTION: HARMONY PRODUCTIONS

BEST INTERNATIONAL: CHRIS ROCK

OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT: THE CAST OF REAL MCCOY

Oh and Bill Bellamy was a no show, but who really cares? The night was a huge success and goes to show that we don’t need Americans to headline our events!
