Speaking to the Radio Times, Dizzee describes the X Factor as “just another massive marketing tool”.

Dizzee Rascal has distanced his new reality show Must Be The Music from ITV1 shows The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent. He says that his new show ‘Must Be The Music’ gives acts the chance to shape their own future rather than depend on record labels.

He goes on to describe the X Factor as “just another massive marketing tool”…. “No discredit to that, but we’re giving the artists room to be independent. Being an independent artist, I can appreciate that.”

Rascal is on the judging panel for the new talent show alongside Texas star Sharleen Spiteri and pianist Jamie Cullum.

Must Be The Music starts on August 15 at 7pm on Sky1.
