JLS have jumped to the defence of artists who use auto-tune in their music, stating that there is nothing wrong with using the technology.

JLS who used auto-tune on their No 1. annoying single The Club Is Alive have hit out at critics claiming that they can sing withuot auto-tune.

Aston Merrygold told Bang Showbiz: “If you get critics come and see the show, we can sing it live, so what’s the problem? It’s kind of pointless for them to criticise.”

Ortise said: “Music has moved forward in such an amazing way, and we are in a new school generation and [for] that generation, stuff like music effects, auto tune and sampling is part of that.”

Marvin added that they will continue to use vocal effects and auto-tune in their music, insisting: “It’s all about people wanting that in the music, so we will deliver it to them.”

At what point did the ‘people’ say that they wanted to hear auto-tune in their music? One song maybe, but not a whole collection of tracks, come on dudes stop, its annoying!
