British Basketball Coach Jailed For Sexually Abusing 14-year-old Schoolgirl!
Andre Alleyne, a former England Under 18 Basketball coach and pundit for channel Five, has been jailed for 30 months after sexually abusing a 14-year-old schoolgirl.
Andre Alleyne, encouraged the girl to show him her private parts and performed sex acts on her at her school and at her home.
The 41-year-old, who was working at Archbishop Lanfranc School at the time, had previously admitted inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and three counts of sexual activity with a child.
He pleaded not guilty to a further count of sexual activity with a child, which will remain on file.
Judge Stephen Waller banned Alleyne from working in any job which would give him unsupervised access to girls under the age of 15 during sentencing at Croydon Crown Court.
Alleyne was arrested on October 2 last year after officers discovered lurid emails he sent the girl on a computer seized from his home in Cecil Road, Croydon.
He admitted the messages were inappropriate “in hindsight” when he read from a prepared statement under police interview, and was released on bail under the condition he did not contact the pupil.
But the 6ft 8in former basketball star, who coached top teams including Kingston, the London Towers and the Manchester Giants during an illustrious career, was rearrested after further email contact between the two.
Ryan Thompson, defending, said Alleyne could not explain why he had entered into a relationship with the girl, but insisted his client had not groomed her.
This is absolutely disgusting!!! A big hard back 41 year old man messing around with a 14 year old, he is just nasty! I wouldn’t usually post something like this ( such a negative story and British Basketball already doesn’t receive any press and this is what I post!!! ) , but I just wanted to expose this man!! And to think he was the representative of British Basketball for Channel 5 interviewing the likes of Luol Deng and other NBA stars, he was also part of a Giggs interview in 2008! Im not going to post it, as has taken too much of my time already!

He is a natural flirt in terms of personality and that is what endears people to him. I am in education myself and have had endless conversations with Andre where he has given me invaluable advice about students and keeping them at arms length. With this in mind, I find it hard to judge him and would rather speak to him first to ascertain what the situation is here.
In this profession, the minute an accusation is made against you, your life may as well be over, guilty or innocent.

From that point on the victim can make any accusation and it’s for the accused to prove it wrong. In many cases these cannot be proved wrong, it’s how human nature is so it becomes their word against yours and that’s all it takes to be sent to prison. 30 months is an insult to an alleged offense like this. If I was the parents I would be screaming where is the justice and I would take my child out of that school (which may already be the case). When you incriminate yourself you become fresh meat, a piece of bait. Some 14 year old girls in these times are full of fantasy but at the end of the day a big man shouldn’t be getting so close to a student to the point he feels exchanging suggestive emails is harmless.
