How random is this! We all know Idris can act and yes he can kinda sing too (he has a album out called High Class Problems….only herd a few tracks) and now he is doing bashment/hip-hop/whatever you wanna call it with his new track ‘HOLD ON’!
I guess if this was another artist then this track may get a pass, but seeing Idris in a doo-rag looking like a older version of JME is not good! Oh and to top it off, he isn’t even Jamaican!!! I guess he is just exploiting his good acting/accent skills…..I just can’t take him seriously!….Idris, just because the beat may make a ‘rass clart tune’ does not mean you have to rap on it! Stick to acting mate!

USHER SAYS ‘UK ACTS RUIN R&B SCENE’
Usher has claimed that the recent UK acts to break the US charts are bringing down the value of R&B.
The ‘OMG’ singer, who performed at Sunday’s BET Awards in LA, said that British acts such as Taio Cruz and Jay Sean should be classed as pop music.
He told the Daily Star: “There’s a very fine line between what’s R&B and pop these days. Just because it’s sung by a male minority doesn’t mean you’re urban or R&B.
“Those artists are pop. The true value of R&B has been brought down.”
Usher recently stated that he is a “worldwide pop icon”.
I do agree that there is a fine line between R&B and POP and to be honest I would listen to Usher over Taio Cruz and Jay Sean any day, but for Usher to openly disrespect the value of UK music takes the P! Only UK people can slate UK acts like that, lol lol……what a cheek!

Absolutely luv this track and the video ain’t bad too….V.A.S colorful bobble hat and glasses just has me in stitches! I definitely prefer ‘BEAT UP’ compared to his track ‘Safe With Me’ which has already received over 20,00 YouTube hits! It’s just a shame BEAT UP is only 2.20 mins long, by the time your ready to shake a leg the track is dun!!….Anyway V.A.S is definitely bringing a new flavour to the scene and is someone to watch out for!

POLICE PLAGUED BY NUISANCE 999 RAPPER!!
Police in Manchester are hunting a rapper who has made thousands of nuisance 999 calls over the past 18 months.
Greater Manchester Police say they have been plagued by the man who chants, sings, raps, preaches and plays loud music to call operators.
He has made 700 calls in the last three months alone and it is costing the force £1,000 a month to handle them.
More than 60 SIM cards have been blocked by police but the rapper continues to acquire unregistered phones to continue his verbal outbursts.
Officers are concerned that the man, who has a Jamaican accent, is blocking the line for callers reporting genuine crimes.
Police are working with various mobile phone companies and have established that most of the calls are made from either Moss Side or Old Trafford.
