REGGIE YATES TO HOST “MOVE LIKE MICHAEL JACKSON”

in News by BROWN-EYEZ on November 18th, 2009

reggie YATES

BBC Three have announced plans to honour Michael Jackson in a new six-part dance series called Move Like Michael Jackson, and guess who is hosting it??? Yes its Mr Yates! This dude is definitely moving up the TV ladder, from Grange Hill , Desmonds ( yes he was in Desmonds) to  Trinity and now he will be hosting a show dedicated to MJ!!! ……Oh and apparently Jamelia  will also be a judge alongside Mr (Latex head) Jermaine Jackson and dance agent Mark Summers.

The show will take on a nationwide search to find dancers whose moves can emulate the King Of Pop in their own unique way and continue his legacy. The programme will kick off with highlights of the good, bad and brilliant auditions of the hopefuls, as well as interviews with members of Jackson’s friends and family. They will compete to perform at the official Michael Jackson tribute concert, which is due to take place in London next June.

This sounds like it will be very entertaining, especially with Miss Dont Hold Back Say What I Want Jamelia, but I’m not sure about the interviews with the Jackson family!!! It will be nothing but shiny greasy skin and squeaky high voices!!

British rapper Derek B, one of the first UK hip-hop stars to enjoy chart success and an influence on future urban artists, has died aged 44. Derek Boland had UK top 20 hits with Good Groove and Bad Young Brother in 1988 and co-wrote the Anfield Rap for Liverpool Football Club. His hits saw him become one of the first British hip-hop stars to appear on programmes like Top of the Pops. ”He definitely broke the door down,” London rapper Ty told BBC News. ”He was one of the first artists that I saw get to such a level through rap, and be on Top of the Pops, be on children’s programmes, be on the world stage. Boland suffered a heart attack, according to reports.
